Gong Within
Sound Therapy
There is nothing on earth quite like gong sounds. Intriguing...complex...meditative...transformative
Gong sounds are incredible. It is impossible to accurately describe what it's like to experience a gong bath. A unique, immersive experience that guides you inward, away from worldly stresses. If you've experienced sound baths with singing bowls or crystal bowls before, gong sounds take you to another level. Powerful, gentle, complex, intriguing, intense, and compelling. The most frequent word I hear is 'Wow!'. That's not about me, it's all about the gongs.
So, what do I need to know?
Please read all of the information below, so you know what to bring with you and what to expect.
Its called a gong bath because you are are lying or sitting down, bathed in gong sounds. The sounds wash over you, inducing a meditative, relaxed state (there is no water involved!). The effect is difficult to fully describe, you really need to experience it to appreciate it's depths. You simply need to settle down, get as comfortable as possible, and let the gong sounds work their magic.

What to bring with you
-A roll mat or camping mattress
-A pillow
-A blanket or sleeping bag
-An eye mask (or something like a flannel to put over your eyes)

Be aware your body temperature can drop during a sound bath, so it is important you are wearing warm, comfortable clothing.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the session is due to start. Unfortunately, any latecomers will not be able to join the session, as I close the door when the session starts.

Sound therapy is suitable for most people. However, there are a few things to be aware of.

If you have a pacemaker, be aware that the sound vibrations can affect its rhythm (by inducing such a sense of calm, that the pacemaker thinks you need a boost). It is advisable not to lie too close to the gongs.

Sound baths do not make tinnitus better or worse, but some people with tinnitus can find sound baths uncomfortable. However, I have a regular participant with (mild) tinnitus who loves what she gets from sessions. It is wise not to lie too close close to the gongs.

In terms of mobility, you need to be able to lie down & get up from the floor. Please to bring anything you need to be able to lie or sit comfortably and safely. If you have difficulty lying flat on the floor (as I do!), a bolster, cushion or rolled up mat propped under your knees can help.

A session last for approximately one hour, and is suitable for all ages, except for young children or any young people who may struggle to settle. I have had participants of all ages, from 13-83.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking in advance is essential-
Sessions often sell out, so payment secures your booking. If something changes after you've booked, and you can no longer attend, get in touch via the chat function, or by emailing gongwithin@gmail.com
